Skyland (full French title: "Skyland, Le Nouveau Monde", or "Skyland, The New World") is an animated television series developed in France in partnership with Canada and Luxembourg. It aired on France 2 in France, Teletoon in Canada, Nicktoons in the United States, ABC in Australia, and CITV in the United Kingdom. The show is a co-production between Paris's Method Films and Toronto's 9 Story Entertainment.

Lore & Background
In the 23rd century, Earth has shattered into billions of pieces orbiting a central core. This new world, named Skyland, is home to evolved humans called Seijins, who absorb energy from sunlight to fuel abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, mental control, astral projection, energy balls or blasts, and electric rays. Skyland is ruled by the Sphere, an organization that controls water supplies and maintains power through Guardians—Seijins indoctrinated from childhood. Pirates fight this dictatorship.
Reader's Guide
The series follows protagonists Mahad and Lena, a young Seijin still learning her powers, after their mother Mila is captured by the Sphere. Rescued by pirates, they join the rebellion. Mahad, age 17, is a skilled pilot of his father's ship the Hyperion, while Lena, age 12, is believed by Oslo to be the 'Lady of Light' from a prophecy. Key characters include Aran Cortes, a gruff pirate leader; Cheng, a young hacker; Dahlia, a 20-year-old pirate; Diwan, a Seijin master tasked with capturing Lena; and Oslo, leader of the Guardians. The series explores themes of resistance, family, and the cost of power.
